Bex Marketing ("we", "us") is a B2B marketing agency based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through bexmarketing.co and when you work with us, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Information you give us: when you request a consultation or email us, we collect your name, email address, company website and anything you choose to write in your message.
- Information collected when you visit the site: like most websites, we and the tools we use collect technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you move around a page, and the site or ad that brought you here. Some of this is collected using cookies.
- Client information: if you become a client, we hold the contact and business details needed to deliver our services and invoice you.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your consultation.
- To deliver, manage and invoice the work we do for clients.
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
- To measure our own advertising and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
We only use your information for these purposes, or for something directly related to them. We do not sell personal information.
Tools and service providers we use
We use trusted third-party services to run the site and our business. They may process your information on our behalf, and some of them store data outside New Zealand (for example in the United States or Australia).
- FormSubmit delivers consultation form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Workspace hosts our email.
- Vercel hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Ads (Google tag) measures ad performance and enables remarketing, using cookies.
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymised page interactions such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, to help us improve the site. Clarity masks text you type into forms.
- Google Fonts and Iconify load the fonts and icons on this site, which means your browser connects to their servers.
You can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.
How we store and protect it
We keep personal information in secure, access-controlled systems and only share it with people who need it to do their job. We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, tax records), and then delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email hello@bexmarketing.co and we will respond within 20 working days. If we can't help, we'll explain why.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
